Sewer Repair for the Seattle, Kent, Renton & Tacoma Areas
One of the first signs that your sewer is in need of repair, and an often overlooked sign, is that you will notice foul odors coming from your drains. Often, this first warning sign of a sewer problem is caused by a partial blockage in the sewer line. This can be intermittent at first but, over time, the odors will become stronger and more pervasive.
Another warning sign is when you have dark water that backs up in your drain. It is common when there are sewer problems for the sewage water to first back up into the bathtub. When this happens, it will often flow back down the drain, but at a slow rate. Even before you notice the sewage backing up, you may notice that your drains around the house are draining slowly when they use to flow smoothly. If this is the case, it could be a warning sign that you have bigger sewer issues that require sewer repair immediately.
Steps For Repairing A Sewer Line
- Sewer Camera Inspection
- Sewer Cleaning
- Sewer Line Repair Or Replacement
One of the first things that we must do when diagnosing sewer issues is to determine what is causing the issue. In the Seattle Metro Area, it is very common to have tree roots growing through your sewer line. Debris that is flushed will collect around these roots and cause a bigger issue.
Our Sewer Camera Inspection service will pinpoint the exact location of the damage or block in the sewer pipe. If it’s just sediment, or any item that is blocking the sewer line, we are often able to resolve your issue with our powerful Sewer Hydro jetting equipment.
Water Heater Replacement Services
While our goal is to save you money, we also want to protect your property from costly damages. If we determine that your water heater is at the end of its lifecycle and less expensive to replace, or that the damage can’t be repaired, we have multiple options to fit your needs and budget. While box stores only carry residential hot water heaters made with low-quality, plastic parts that may wear out faster. At Innovative Plumbing, we only carry commercial-quality water heaters that are made to last. Through our network of providers, we’re able to purchase the highest quality units at the lowest possible price – so we can pass the savings on to you.
A sewer hydro jet is essentially a power washer designed to fit in a sewer pipe and destroy blockages and clean the linings of the your sewer pipe. After we have performed this service, the pipe will look almost as new as the day it was installed. If the blockage is really bad, or caused by tough tree roots in the sewer line, we may have to first run an industrial pipe snake down the line to break it up. When that is complete, we will then send the hyrdro jet down the line to finish off any remaining remnants of the roots.
Now that the blockage is cleared, and the pipe is cleaned, it’s time to repair or replace the sewer. In the first step for sewer line repair, we pinpointed the location of the problem. Now we can send the camera back down the line to inspect the level of damage caused by any tree roots.
If the damage is too great, you may need an entire sewer line replacement. Don’t worry though, we have the right tools to make this as painless as possible. We use a trenchless sewer replacement system that involves pulling a pipe bursting head through the line, followed by the replacement pipe. This means that we do not have to dig up the entire line and damage your lawn, landscaping, or break up any concrete in your driveway. We simply have to dig 2 holes. Backfilling these holes is easy and means less cleanup and repair of your lawn.
We offer a number of sewer repair solutions in Seattle, WA and the surrounding areas. From clearing out blocked sewage lines to repairing the damaged ones, we can fix it all.
